Frequently Asked Questions

An alarm company provides security for my home. What value do you add?

An alarm company remotely monitors entry into your home and smoke/fire alarms but they do not provide a physical presence or monitor potential problems that can occur due to issues such as broken pipes/leaks, mechanical failures, mold, pests or squatters. We identify those problems or the possibility of their occurrence and notify you for guidance.

What are your credentials?

Front Range Home Watch & Concierge proudly displays the “Accredited” banner of the National Home Watch Association. We have been vetted and approved to ensure we are properly licensed, bonded, and insured. We also subscribe to the NHWA’s Code of Ethics and follow industry best practices. Our owner is a “Certified Home Watch Professional” (NHWA).

Can you help me with home maintenance services?

While we do not provide home maintenance services, we can do light repairs as well as refer you to quality contractors or vendors and coordinate access to your property.

How do I pay you?

For all services provided, Home Watch and Concierge, we will email an invoice after the service is performed that includes links for several payment options.

We have a neighborhood watch program. Doesn’t that do the same thing?

Most neighborhood watch programs are passive by nature and do not provide the level of engagement with your property that we provide. We will check your property’s interior and exterior in far more detail than you can expect from a neighborhood watch program.

Are you a house sitter service?

We are not house sitters. We are trained, insured & bonded and our core service includes weekly or biweekly
home visits where we follow a specific and mutually agreed upon checklist (see “Home Watch” page). We are typically in an average home for 60 minutes per visit and take great pride in making sure your home is as you left it for your return.

Is Front Range Home Watch & Concierge a traditional property management company?

No, many duties of a traditional property manager fall under the Colorado Real Estate Commission’s (CREC) definition of real estate activity, including leasing and management of real estate for a fee, negotiating lease terms, and handling security deposits and rental receipts. We do not provide these services or directly manage rental or investment properties. Home Watch is a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.

What is Front Range Home Watch & Concierge?

We are a professional licensed, insured, bonded and accredited Home Watch company serving the southern Denver metro area (Service Area Map). We check your property and identify problems or potential problems that can occur while your property is vacant. We provide a physical presence that is not available through a remote alarm monitoring service. We can help with most requests you have by contacting us.

What type of reporting can I expect from you?

We will send you a detailed report by email with pictures of any problems identified upon completion of inspecting the interior and exterior of your home. You can find a video detailing the benefits & features of our HomeWatchIT reporting section of our Home Watch page.

Are your services expensive?

We strongly believe our services are reasonably priced for the value we provide. When you compare the expense of problems that often arise in unoccupied homes with the cost of our services, we believe we offer excellent value. We base our per visit price on factors such as size/layout of a home, distance and unique requests. We will be happy to provide a free home visit/consultation or give you a per visit estimate prior to any service being performed.

Are you a property inspector?

No. We check your property, but we are not property inspectors. Property inspectors are usually involved in the sale of a property to inspect the structure, plumbing, electrical and heating and air condition systems. Home Watch does visual inspections, looking for obvious problems or potential problems.

If I need coordination with contractors doing work on my home can you help?

Yes, we can provide access services and remain on-site for an hourly charge. We ask for at least a 48 hours notification to schedule our personnel when possible. We do understand emergencies arise and will do our best to accommodate.

If you find a problem what type of notification will I receive?

We will send you a report upon completion of our visit to your home. Any problems identified will be accompanied by pictures and details of the problem. If there is something urgent identified we will contact you immediately to discuss what course of action you desire.

Do you provide keyholder service?

Absolutely! We can coordinate access to your property for any situation at an hourly rate. All we need is your notification of date and time and any instructions you have
